My roots are in Burundi, which is why I have a very special feeling for this country. The fight against poverty, hunger and poor medical care is part of daily life – still today. Despite all the difficulties and problems that the country faces, including civil war and poverty, I was taught to never lose faith in the strength of the Burundians.
