[Terimbere]:
Term in Burundi for the start of a better future.
I get to live out my dream every day. But I am aware that life does not always play fair. For children and young people in Burundi, my mother’s home country, challenges arise every day that are unimaginable for people from the Western world. Burundi is one of the countries that lacks almost everything. Above all when it comes to education and real prospects.
More about meMy roots are in Burundi, which is why I have a very special feeling for this country. The fight against poverty, hunger and poor medical care is part of daily life – still today. Despite all the difficulties and problems that the country faces, including civil war and poverty, I was taught to never lose faith in the strength of the Burundians.
The Christian values of love, faith and hope have shaped me since my childhood. They are my guide and constant motivation to help other people.
