The Thilo Kehrer Foundation is committed to education and supporting young people, youth welfare and sport.
The first project will be the construction of the Thilo Kehrer Center. This will create a meeting place where students can develop and implement their own career prospects with the help of specialists. But it will also be a protected public space for children and young people, who can exchange ideas here at any time.
Regardless of their social background. The Thilo Kehrer Center’s services will include specialist lectures, tutoring and support for start-ups as well as internet access, language courses and a library.Donate now
Burundian society has not yet fully recovered from the civil war. There are too few jobs relative to a large number of young people with and without qualifications.
With my foundation I would like to initiate innovative projects that give young Burundians the support and impetus to create promising opportunities for themselves. Because ultimately it is up to the younger generation to lead the country into a better future.
To start with, we want to bring the Thilo Kehrer Center to life for children and young people, completely independent of their social background. The Center will be a safe space for people to meet, which, for example, will make it easier for school-leavers to make the transition to working life.
Internet access, job application training, educational trips as well as advice on setting up start-ups will all be part of the future agenda. About €25,000 will be needed for the first phase of the project.
